PLEASE address all mail to me INCLUDING the entire ZIP+4 CODE (“32934-2933”) ~ It really helps your happy mail get delivered to me.
USPS sorting machines read addresses best in ALL CAPS, black ink, no punctuation, on a white or light background, using the ZIP+4 format. That keeps your mail moving quickly.
This is my street-side mailbox. I seldom use it to send my swaps out. Instead, I go in-person to the Suntree P.O.

🌺Aloha!🌺, and welcome! I am Harmony Joy (she/they), and I love sending and receiving happy mail the slow way.
I am also exploring snailmailfriends.com. Find me there as @HJCookie if you enjoy tucking little treasures into envelopes.
Short on time? Read the Quick Basics below. Want ideas? Keep scrolling. Lots of swappers tell me they enjoy the details.
Thank you for your consideration!

• Call me: Harmony, Joy, Harmony-Joy, or "Cookie" (my last name is Cook). All are welcome.
• Postcards: Handmade postcards are my favorite. I love collage, coloring, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, and print-on-demand cards.
• Please write on the postcard and mail it inside an envelope or sleeve (when the swap allows). The envelope keeps it safe from the sorting machines. • Add a cookie 🍪 to the back of your postcard or envelope. A sticker, die cut, or drawing is perfect for my Cookie junk journal. • Writing: Neat handwriting, print, or typed text is great. Dark ink on a light background is easiest for me to read. • Favorite themes: Cookie Monster, trees, Star Wars, vintage mail and mailboxes, sea turtles, orcas, pandas, polar bears, shamrocks, redwoods, and anything blue. • Stamps I love: Cookie Monster, Elmo, Ben Franklin, sea turtles, SpongeBob and Patrick, low riders, Postcrossing stamps, and vintage stamps with postal workers, mailboxes, or letters. • Allergy: I am allergic to soy. • Please skip: see the short list at the end of my profile.
• Hearts: I look for reasons to give them. I give them on type-1 and type-2 swaps too. A postcard can be extra special, even without a package. My hearts do not depend on extras, so please send only what the swap calls for. • The platinum rule: I send what I think my partner would love to receive. I read partner profiles for inspiration, and I hope you will read mine. • Ratings: I rate within 72 hours of receiving a swap. If a swap is late, I check in after 30 USPS business days (and at least two weeks past the deadline) to talk about a resend. Postmarks are not a deciding factor for me, so I rate on what arrives. • Communication: Please message me if something is missing or running late. Date extensions are happily considered for swappers who stay in touch. A quick note on your profile helps everyone know you are okay. • Missing mail: Send me a direct message. I keep a photo log of swap contents and packaging, plus tracking numbers and receipts when I have them. • Postage due: I have a postal scale. If it happens anyway, send me a photo of the receipt and I will reimburse you by PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. • As a coordinator: I only host swaps I can angel, and I take time to vet each participant. I close swaps a day early at times (I am a night owl!). Unclaimed swaps may be reposted after 72 hours. Angeling a swap is about making sure everyone receives something in return. Ratings stay each swapper's own choice. • Time zone: I am 3 hours ahead of Swap-Bot time. • Taking my time: I always give swaps my best effort. Some days my hands and vision cooperate better than others, so my swaps may go out close to the deadline. I am embracing a wabi-sabi approach to my art. • Florida mail notes: Our humidity and afternoon showers are real (hurricane season runs June 1 to November 15), so you may see clear packing tape on my envelopes. I mail most swaps from the Suntree Post Office and use Pirate Ship for packages. • A tidy note: My home is smoke-free and pet-friendly, and I shed a bit. I give all outgoing mail a thorough once-over so it arrives neat and tidy. • Support local: Some of my paper goods come from Lighthouse Paper Company, run by the wonderful Suada and Brendan. It is also Florida's only Hobonichi partner shop.Lighthouse Paper Co.
• Private swaps: I enjoy all kinds. Small art booklets, junk journals, and collaborative art swaps are my current favorites. Message me! Special request: I am collecting 🍪 LEGO minifig cookies 🍪 for a current project and need 33. Send any quantity, and I will happily send you whatever you are looking for in exchange!
My name is musically inspired because both of my biological parents were hippies. I am a Berkeley-born, Nor-Cal-raised "love child" who now lives on the other side of the country. I met and married my husband in the Sunshine State while we were both active-duty Air Force. I love my name because it reminds me of who I am becoming. I am an individual, and I am glad to meet you as one too. Thank you for making space for me here. My husband and I have three neurodiverse children (two daughters and one son) and one grandson who calls me "Cookie." Caring for others is my favorite job. I celebrate Mothering Day more than my own birthday! I believe mothering is a verb that anyone can do, and that family is who we make it. My fur family: Ella (rescued Great Dane and Pointer mix), Bubba (AKC Golden Retriever), grand-mollies Lily and Piper (tortoiseshell shorthairs), and Theo (my cuddly ginger tabby grand-gib). I still miss my sweet Kyna, a Carolina Dog and the best service dog I have ever had. Kindness is the rule: I am a hugger, a defender of the underdog, a LifeGuard, and a Peer Support volunteer. I treasure lifelong learners and anyone who leads with good intentions. Kind words and genuine swappers are always welcome here. Hobbies, indoors: alterations, art journaling, ballroom dancing, card making, coloring, crocheting, DIY, face painting, genealogy, painting, paper making, pottery, oshibana (pressed flowers), reading, sewing, scrapbooking, movies, weaving, writing, and West African dance. My tools include a Gemini Pro, Sizzix Big Shot Plus, Tim Holtz Sidekick, and Cricut Explore Air2. Hobbies, outdoors: fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hula, kayaking, rollerblading, shooting, stand-up paddle boarding, and swimming. The ocean is my happy place. I hunt sea glass, heart-shaped rocks, and tiny shells for my crafts. (I have fins but no sea legs!) My craft style: I make what I feel, so my style is moody. Some days it is inky grunge and painterly splatters, and other days it is clean and simple. Right now I am making booklets, ATCs, and APCs. My portfolio also includes fiber art, beading, woodwork, and pyrography. Collections: ATCs and APCs, 7-of-hearts playing cards (any size or shape), and 7-of-clubs cards. I am using the 7-of-clubs for a memorial project for my late G'Mom Cook. The club looks like a shamrock, and shamrocks remind me of her. Each card records a happy memory of her life. Music and more: Classic rock and reggae are my go-tos. I love audiobooks and my vinyl collection. I enjoy libraries, museums, galleries, art studios, and quilt and sewing shops. As a teen I lived in Chile as a foreign exchange student, and these days I travel mostly by postcard.
My ohana is “my whole world” 💕🌎 And Bettie White will always be my favorite Golden Girl! R.I.P.

My family says I’m “the jack of all trades, master of some.” 😆 I’m literally never bored! 🎨
• Anything Cookie Monster • A gingerbread cookie postcard or greeting card during the holiday season (November 25 to January 10) • Postage with Cookie Monster, Elmo, Ben Franklin, sea turtles, SpongeBob and Patrick, or low riders (new or used, on or off paper). The 2019 Sesame Street 50th anniversary stamps are a special favorite. • Die cuts, punches, or cut-outs of cookies for my junk journal and cookbook • Scraps of ribbon (royal blue is a favorite), fabric, blue denim, or quilted fabric for patchwork • Mixed-media master-board pieces, painted paper strips, and scrap clusters • Stitched paper scraps and tiny fabric snippets • Free paint chips in white, black, blue, and brown • Your favorite tried-and-true cookie recipe • Dictionary pages with my names in any language: harmony, joy, cook, or cookie • Fabric bits or book pages with Sesame Street, 100 Acre Woods, Care Bears, Autobots, or Star Wars • Temporary tattoos. A short list of things that are not for me. Thank you for steering around them! • Soy in any form (allergy) • Political or religious messaging • Claymation or plasticine characters • Aliens (Disney's Stitch is welcome!) or albino animal imagery • Dolls, zombies, and zettiology creatures • Monkeys, gorillas, and baboons • Scorpions, creepy spiders, and snakes • Fragrance, toiletries, and cosmetics (unless they are on my wishlist) • Random blank postcards.
