I am making 6" square pocket quilts for deployed members of our military. I also make creative treats for my local fire department and a family that lives across the street from my American Legion Post. My treats are created with a monthly theme. For example for May I make..April Showers Brings May Flowers. That includes seed packets... individual mini plastic pots with pudding and crushed chocolate cookies for the the dirt with gummi worms and a butterfly snack cake,..It gives me great joy to bring happiness to others..
I am MiMi to my two beautiful precious granddaughters. They live in Virginia. I started watching them when the oldest was a baby .I have moved to Florida in 2021and I miss them tremendously.
Nora is 10 and Penelope is 8 . Everybody calls her Penny except for me. I call her Penelope as I think that is a pretty name.
When I graduated high school many years ago I wanted to join the military however I was too short. At that time the requirement was to be at least 5 ft tall. I am a shorty (lol) I am 4' 11 and 1/2 "
The thing that gives me the most pride and make me most happiest is volunteering. I began when my boys started school and have continued in many different fields ever since then. My boys are now in their late 30;s. It gives me a great feeling of accomplishment and pride to know that I am making a difference to people in my community and the world. Hopefully enriching their lives even for a small amount of time. I was recently honored this year (2025) with the Woman Of The Year plaque from a women;s club which I belong to. I also received a plaque for Community Service Award for my participation with the American Legion Auxiliary. I feel very humbled by these awards
I like to collect butterflies .. For postcards I would like a postcard from where you live. Other than that I do not collect anything specific.
My favorite color is yellow
