No NSFW: I didn't know that was a possibility, but after seeing a few profiles, I thought it was better to be safe.
No AI: I will not give a partner a lower rating due to AI, but I ask that people be mindful and suggest that we all become familiar with AI literacy.
Yes, handmade: If it's allowed and you enjoy making cards/postcards, I would love to receive them.
Maybe extras: I don't collect stationery, nor do I scrapbook. If you love to send extras, I will not deny you the joy; I just don't want my partners to feel obligated. I do not add extras to swaps because I'm not going to support that kind of consumerism.
I do sign up for multiple item swaps that give me timelines to be able to visit a recraft store and DIY items. And if the swap is "flat friendly," there's a high chance you'll be getting a small box.
The playlists I've been listening to on Spotify have phrases/words like Twee, modcloth, 90s Mom, Myspace, and Millennial hopecore in their names. Or I'll play a Remi Wolf song and let the algorithm choose what plays next.
Actually, band-wise, I'm a long-time of Gorillaz. When I was 15, all I wanted for Christmas was their CD. Closer to the present day, I like Vampire Weekend enough to own all their vinyls.
Some of my favorite albums are: 'm Wide Awake, It's Morning by Bright Eyes, Challengers by The New Pornographers, and We Need Medicine by The Fratellis
Perhaps it's because I read non-fiction; I don't have a set favorite book. My 2026 read suggestions are The Story of Art Without Men by Katy Hessel, Selling the Dream by Jane Marie, and Like, Follow, Subscribe by Fortesa Latifi. Oh, and if you're a knitter and you haven't read Vanishing Fleece by Clara Parkes, you should.
One thing I love telling people is that my favorite movie is Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. It's just not expected.
I don't watch television, but I do watch YouTube. Some of my favorite channels are CC Suarez, Investigation Chancla, Rotten Mango, and Kendall Rae. I was watching several commentary channels, but I'm trying to take a break from them.
I watch some knitting podcasts; I love Knitting Jungle, and I'm so happy The Gentle Knitter is back.
But a lot of my screen time is spent watching both short- and long-form C-dramas. I'm not good at remembering the titles, so I can't share my favorites.
Knitting! I've been knitting since 2016 and consider myself an intermediate knitter. I really want to take the Knitting Guild's master knitter course. I try to get to my local knitting group twice a week. I enjoy going to small fiber festivals (I've been to the Fiber Festival of New England, The Connecticut Sheep, Wool & Fiber Festival, and The Fiber Witch Festival in Salem, MA). One day I'll make it to Rhinebeck. Buying yarn was a part of my hobby until I took the time to collect and log my stash. Now I'm a low-buy,
Other hobbies I enjoy are cross-stitching and traditional junk journaling.
I've also started baking, but I don't think I can quite qualify that as a hobby. I've been doing it, intending to have a cottage bakery. I'm disabled and unemployed, and although my partner is supportive, I would like my own form of income.
I have placed my about me at the bottom of my profile, as it’s a long read, and I understand some swap partners don’t want a biography. TLDL: Disabled neuroqueer she/they, Atheopagan. Leftist like Jesus. The estranged eldest daughter/breaker of generational trauma. Cat mom to three black beans.
Disability: During the past three years (2023-2026), I've been seeing my primary care provider and specialists to figure out what's wrong with me. Currently, I've been diagnosed with tachycardia, psoriatic arthritis, and long COVID.
Additionally, in the spring of 2026, I got a later-in-life autism diagnosis. I also have anxiety and complex PTSD thanks to my childhood and living undiagnosed.
I don't make my disability/neurodivergence a core part of my personality, but I use it as a compass to navigate my life.
What does neuroqueer mean? In short, it means my gender identity and sexuality are strongly linked to my experience and navigation through life as a person with autism. I recently started labeling myself this way after reading Divergent Mind by Jenara Nerenberg. In more common labels, I fall under non-binary, asexual, and polyromantic. I've been in a monogamous relationship for over 10 years, and we got married a few years ago for insurance/legal purposes.
I became an atheist as a child due to a traumatic experience during Sunday school. In the mid-2010s, I read You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero, and it sent me down a spirituality journey, though it was short-lived. That time of my life did change me for the better, but now I strongly discourage people from exploring what is called “White Women Spirituality”. (You know, the crystals-and-manifesting aesthetic stripped of any real tradition or accountability.”)  After that, I dabbled in paganism but have discovered I’m an atheopagan who also practices folk magic. I love exploring Slavic folk magic. It connects me to my ancestors and is how I regain my heritage outside of white supremacy. This current journey is also helping me live/move through the seasons.
I don’t believe in God or any deity, but I do know Jesus would be considered a radical leftist. He flipped tables at the people profiting off the poor (Hello mega churches) and advocated for mutual aid before the term was even a thing. Matthew 21:12–13 Matthew 14:19–20
I’m not going to trauma dump here, but I like to mention that I am the eldest daughter, estranged from both sides of my family (I do have in-laws that I do get along with) and have broken a long lineage of trauma by deciding to not pursue motherhood. Instead, I have three black cats named Plato, Diogenes, and Hypatia. The boys were a bonded pair we adopted, and we got Hypatia as a kitten a year or two later.
Some other facts about me: Before I was disabled to the point of unemployment, I spent three years working in Early Childhood. I loved those three years, and I occasionally still volunteer at my prior employer. It’s one reason why I never use the phrase “child-free.” I’m not a mother, but children are part of my life. Before COVID, my partner was a member of our library’s friends association. Over time, the Friends of the Library had dissolved, but now my partner is on the board of trustees. We’re also members of a co-op and have a CSA with a four-season farm. (I could absolutely make my whole profile musing about our CSA). I love eating seasonally, and it lends to my desire for slow living. Other ways I practice slow living are by supporting slow fashion clothing brands when I can afford it, trying to buy second-hand when I can. Making do and attempting to mend,  shopping with local/small businesses.
